About Tyiesha

Hi, I’m Tyiesha! Growing up, I always knew I wanted a career centered around helping others. I began my undergraduate studies as a nursing major, but soon realized my heart was pulling me in a different direction. Around that time, my grandfather began receiving speech therapy to support his communication after being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Watching his speech-language pathologist work with such patience, skill, and compassion moved me. I started researching the field, and when I discovered the incredible impact speech therapy could have, especially with children, I knew I had found my calling.

Since graduating Hampton University in 2017, I’ve had the privilege of serving a variety of populations across the field, including geriatrics, adults, and youth. While each experience has shaped me as a clinician, my greatest passion lies in working with children and supporting their growth in communication.

My clinical approach is simple: connection first. I meet my clients where they are, celebrate and build upon their strengths, and ensure they feel seen, heard, and valued. Through intentional and compassionate therapy, I strive to nurture confidence, communication, and joy in every session.

Personal interests

Outside of work, I’m passionate about all things health and wellness. You’ll often find me experimenting with new vegan recipes, getting in a good workout at the gym, reading a great book, or spending time outdoors doing some type of activity.
