About Lauren

Hi, I’m Lauren! I’m a licensed and ASHA-certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) of eight years proudly serving clients in Virginia, California, and the District of Columbia. I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Communication Sciences & Disorders from Radford University.

My journey to becoming an SLP began in high school. While I initially planned to study marketing, my first job at a local daycare opened my eyes to the power of communication. After watching a child with language delays grow into a confident and independent communicator I then knew that helping others find their voice was what I was meant to do.

Since entering the field, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals of all ages across a variety of settings including long-term care facilities, home health, public schools, charter schools and virtual therapy. In April 2023, I launched my private practice to offer a more personalized and flexible approach to care.

I’m passionate about providing client-centered, neurodiversity-affirming services, with a strong focus on caregiver coaching. I believe in meeting each client and family exactly where they are, creating a supportive environment that fosters real progress and lasting confidence.

Currently, I’m expanding my expertise in Executive Functioning and exploring its connections to speech and language development—so I can continue to offer the most informed and effective support possible.

Personal interests

I live in Washington, D.C. with my husband and our mini Sheepadoodle. In my free time, I love exploring the city—whether it’s discovering new coffee shops, trying out local restaurants, or simply enjoying a walk through the neighborhoods. Baking and cooking are my creative outlets. I enjoy getting lost in a new recipe with my favorite playlist in the background.
