About Jennifer

Hi, I’m Jenn! I'm an ASHA certified speech-language pathologist with over 17 years of experience. I graduated with a Bachelors of Science from University of Rhode Island, and Masters Degree in Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences from LaSalle University. I am a RESNA certified assistive technology professional.

My passion for my career stems from my personal childhood experience receiving speech therapy. Personifying dedication to the highest levels of patient care, I am extremely hands on and willing to ‘think outside the box’ when it comes to finding the most appropriate strategies and technologies to assist my patients in communicating and interacting with their environments. I strive to continue my learning and knowledge base to assist families and teams on their journey with language acquisition.

I have a vast knowledge regarding early intervention, early language acquisition, gestalt language learners, assistive technology, and augmentative alternative communication (AAC) and have been specifically trained in Language Acquisition through Motor Planning (LAMP) approach. I am well versed in the use of various augmentative and alternative communication devices (e.g. Saltillo NovaChat, Prentke Romich Company Accent, Tobii Dynavox, Eyegaze Edge, and iPad based applications such as Proloquo2Go, LAMP Words for Life, Unidad, Snap Core First). I am licensed to practice speech-language therapy in the states of Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. Additionally, as a veteran-spouse, I am actively engaged with the local military community.

Personal interests

I love to travel with my family and try different types of cuisine.
