Hi, I’m Amari! I graduated with my Master's degree from New Mexico State University. My journey to becoming a speech-language pathologist was deeply personal; as a child, I experienced negative connotations towards speech therapy and became passionate about creating a truly unique and positive experience for others. I'm driven to make a difference in how clients perceive and benefit from therapy, empowering them to overcome communication difficulties with confidence.
My clinical approach is centered on providing evidence-based therapeutic strategies to ensure effective treatment. I prioritize open communication and foster a strong connection over compliance, recognizing that meaningful progress stems from trust and engagement. While maintaining professional guidance, I embrace a hybrid, client-led approach, allowing sessions to be guided by the client's interests and needs without forcing activities. This ensures a supportive and empowering environment where individuals feel heard and motivated to achieve their communication goals.
Outside of work, I enjoy being active in my faith-based community. My downtime often includes reading, playing with my cats, and connecting with my family.
